A leading online casino company has recently purchased one of the UK’s most well-known gaming groups. The online casino firm is hoping, with the completion of this acquisition, to enter the UK online casinos gaming sector, and produce games for the British public house (pub) market. The acquisition, expected to be neutral to 2007 earnings, will now take part in the development, marketing and publishing of the pub gaming sector in the UK.The UK public house market comprises approximately 60,000 pubs which have an estimated total of 150,000 games in this sector including online casino games as well as amusement games. These activities all result in prizes for winners. It is anticipated that the industry will undergo a digital replacement cycle of the current analog machines starting in 2007.
